Digital Assets API Integrations for Django, WordPress, iOS and Android

Use a server-side gateway to keep secrets, provider quirks, normalization, permissions, and audit logic out of browsers and mobile application packages.

Put a server gateway between clients and providers

The gateway owns provider authentication, canonical asset and market IDs, exact decimal handling, caching, rate limits, error mapping, audit IDs, and permissions. Browsers, WordPress, iOS, and Android authenticate to the gateway rather than carrying long-lived exchange or blockchain keys.

Expose application resources such as markets, balances, transfers, orders, cases, or reports. Do not simply proxy arbitrary provider URLs and parameters. A narrow contract reduces security risk and lets providers change without forcing every client to update.

Use Django as a controlled service layer

Keep provider clients in dedicated modules with explicit timeouts, bounded retries, schemas, typed errors, and correlation IDs. Separate raw source records from normalized models. Move backfills, reconciliation, and large imports into resumable background tasks with durable cursors.

Verify webhook signatures against the raw request body, persist event IDs before processing, and make redelivery harmless. Use database uniqueness constraints for idempotency. Monitor freshness, retry rate, task backlog, webhook lag, and reconciliation differences.

Keep WordPress focused on content and controlled presentation

A WordPress plugin can render public market summaries or authenticated portal components through whitelisted endpoints. Cache public data with visible observation times. Validate capabilities, nonces, parameters, and response fields. Do not place trading or signing secrets in themes, templates, or browser JavaScript.

For sensitive actions, link WordPress to a dedicated backend resource with pending, approved, submitted, confirmed, or failed state. The CMS should not become the authority that decides or signs a financial action.

Design mobile sync for interruption

Use short-lived sessions and secure platform storage. Return compact, paginated data with stable IDs, exact quantities, observation times, stale flags, and sync cursors. When an app resumes, recover through a snapshot and cursor rather than assuming a WebSocket remained continuous.

Publish a schema with unknown-enum fallbacks so older app versions can tolerate new server states. Keep symbol identity, price methodology, account permissions, and compliance decisions on the server while allowing the client to localize display.

Treat charting and AI as downstream consumers

A chart adapter translates canonical markets into symbol metadata, historical bars, and real-time subscriptions. It keeps venue credentials and sequence recovery in the backend. An AI assistant receives structured, permission-filtered facts with timestamps and evidence IDs, then produces an explanation that links back to those facts.

Do not let AI invent missing data, establish wallet ownership, calculate authoritative tax results, or bypass trading and compliance controls. Deterministic services remain the source of record; AI can summarize or assist review.

Use the implementation field notes

The Django Digital Assets API article covers service layers, secrets, retries, models, tasks, webhooks, tests, and observability. The WordPress and mobile article covers controlled CMS endpoints, iOS and Android sync, charts, CORS, and AI boundaries.

Start with the API architecture guide to define the canonical contract before implementing framework-specific clients.

Scope note: Code and schemas on this site are illustrative architecture patterns. Production systems should use the current official documentation and security guidance for every framework and provider.
Next step

Give every client one stable contract.

Django, WordPress, Swift, Kotlin, charting, dapps, and AI features can share canonical data without sharing provider secrets or duplicating domain logic.
